Our Story

WHO WE ARE
/OUR STORY

Experienced

We are not “learning the ropes.” We know what we’re doing. After well over a decade, we have figured out what makes an excellent bike tour. At the same time, we are always improving, making additions, and keeping it fresh!

As long-time locals, we have explored every nook and cranny of this amazing city. We bring you to places that you might not have otherwise found on your own.
Because of our years of experience working in the active travel industry, we offer a personalized level of service that you will not find elsewhere

We require helmets, and we are insured against accidents.

A Small Company

Although we have found success, we are still, quite literally, a “two cycling friends” operation. It is through this mindset that we are able to deliver a personalized experience; your well-being and enjoyment is our highest priority!

Born and raised in Lisbon, I spent many summers mountain biking around the lisbon hills.

I became so addicted to it that at the age of 18 instead of trading in two wheels for four I began riding more and more. That´s simply how I started my obsession with bicycles.

With a background in Geophysics, I became a cycling journalist back in 1997, writing for the first ever mountain bik e magazine in Portugal and still the best selling cycling magazine in the country. Four years later I became a bike tour leader and since then I have been combining my guiding career with the writing and making dinner (most nights).

12, just 12 inches and chubby michelin white wall tires dictated my continuous state of passion for cycling. I was 5 years old, and un-boxing my first bike ,a shinny combination of royal blue , chrome and fat white tires became a time reference of my life .The before and after of my “joie de vivre”.

During my professional career, everyday life or Olympic campaign in a different sport, cycling has always been part of it, but it is the simple, relaxed and unique moments of “freewheeling” that I always enjoyed sharing. Be my guest on the hardest climb of the “tour the France” or on a “velvet” bike ride along Lisbon´s river side, crank those pedals in fluid circles, the magic evidence that it does not have to be complex to be fun.
